    Abstraction

    Abstract The aims of this study were to describe the form of grammatical error applied in the speaking of the students of Al-Falah english boarding school in pamekasan. It also revealed the cause of grammatical errors conducted by English students in Al-Falah boarding school in speaking class. This study was a qualitative research and the writer was the main instrument in collecting the data. The sources of data in this study were the students of al-Falah English boarding school. The data in this study were the speaking of the students of Al-Falah English boarding school. These data were classified into codes until got the results. The result of the study could be seen as follow. First, the form of grammatical error which occurred in this study reveals 52 data and classified in three types. Those were tenses adjustment, unstructured word order in sentences and verbless sentence. In tenses adjustment had 35 data. In unstructured word order in sentence had 9 data and in verbless sentence had 8 data. Second, the cause of grammatical errors conducted by the students of Al-Falah english boarding school has 52 data. They are intralingual errors had 16 data and interlingual errors had 36 data.
