The friendship among Harry, Ron, and Hermione in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone is very interesting to be discussed. This study is aimed to describe about the friendship process and what are the advantages that could be get by forming a relationship such a friendship. This study is focused on the analysis of friendship of Harry, Ron, and Hemione. Psychology of literature especially theory of friendship is used as the basic theory to analyze the friendship in this novel. The nature of this study is qualitative research. The data are the characters utterances and narrations which related with the friendship among Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The data collected after the writer read the novel several time and classify it base on the research problems.The result of this study argued that in forming a special relationship such as friendship among Harry, Ron, and Hermione, it needs a process and stages those are contact, involvement, and the last is close and intimate friendship. In addition, the friendship among Harry, Ron, and Hermione also give them so many advantages; such as, utility, affirmation, ego support, stimulation and security.
