This study is aimed to discuss main character’s attitude in Emma Donoghue Room. The analysis of this novel uses the theory of Psychological types focuses on the attitudes. It also aims to explain the way Jack’s attitudes toward his surrounding and the effect of Jack’s attitude that influencing his family. This study was conducted by applying a qualitative research design since the data are in the form of words. The source of data of this study is a novel entitled Room. The data are the utterances of the character and author’s narration which related to the Psychological Types. In analyzing the data, the writer used qualitative data analysis. Since this study concerns on the attitude of the main character, this study uses a theory which is proposed by Carl G. Jung to analyze the data. From the discussion, it can be concluded from the four classifications of attitude, Jack can be classified into extraversion attitude. Those four classifications of attitude are, Jack’s attitude through the way he thinks, Jack’s attitude through the way he feels, Jack attitude through the way he senses and Jack’s attitude through the way his intuition. Furthermore, Jack behave so diligent, sensitive, thirst for knowledge, can read the atmosphere and situation. The effect show in his family are, grandfather who at first ignorant then he tries to be open, grandmother who is frustrated to handle Jack found a balance to teach Jack, Mother who is tried to give up on her life found the reason for survived because of Jack. Step grandfather also found a bond to Jack even in the past handle kid is troublesome for him. Uncle, auntie and cousin form a relation with Jack even they are strict but they tried to be nicer.
