PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN TAPAK DARA (Catharantus roseus (L.) G Don) LOKAL PUTIH AKIBAT PERENDAMAN BIJI DALAM EKSTRAK DAUN TAPAK DARA ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tanaman Tapak Dara (Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don) lokal putih akibat perendaman biji dalam ekstrak daun tapak dara. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Desember 2015 hingga Februari 2016 pada pertengahan musim hujan, pelaksanaan di desa Gili timur, Kecamatan Kamal, Kabupaten Bangkalan yang terletak 5 m dpl. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (Completely Randomized Design) dengan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terhadap benih tapak dara sebelum ditanam adalah merendam terlebih dahulu dalam ekstrak daun tapak dara dengan lama perendaman yang berbeda yaitu H1 (tanpa perendaman), H2 (perendaman 4 jam), H3 (perendaman 8 jam), H4 (perendaman 12 jam), H5 (perendaman 16 jam). Variabel yang diamati meliputi: terbentuknya daun pertama, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah akar, akar terpanjang, terbentuknya bunga pertama, bobot basah dan bobot kering tanaman tapak dara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama perendaman biji dalam ekstrak daun tapak dara berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel terbentuknya daun pertama, tinggi tanaman, luas daun, akar terpanjang, dan total bobot basah tanaman. Tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel jumlah akar, total bobot kering tanaman, dan terbentuknya bunga pertama. Perendaman selama 12 dan 16 jam memberikan hasil yang terbaik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan yang lain. Kata kunci: Catharantus roseus, lama perendaman, ekstrak daun tapak dara
AbstractionVinca Plant Growth (Catharantus Roseus (L.) G Don) Local White Due To Soaking The Seeds In The Leaf Extract Of Vinca ABSTRAK This study was conducted to determine the growth of plants rose periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don) Local white due to soaking the seeds in the leaf extract of vinca. The experiment was conducted in December 2015 until February 2016 in the middle of the rainy season, the implementation in the village of Gili east, District Kamal Bangkalan Regency is located 5 m dpl. The study design used was completely randomized design (Completely Randomized Design) with 5 replicates. The treatment of the seed of vinca before planting is to soak it first in an extract of the leaves of vinca with soaking time is different that H1 (without soaking), H2 (soaking 4 hours), H3 (immersion 8 hours), H4 (soaking 12 hours), H5 (16 hour immersion). The observed variables include: the formation of the first leaf, plant height, leaf number, leaf area, number of roots, the longest roots, the formation of the first flower, fresh weight and dry weight of plants vinca. The results showed that long soaking seeds in a periwinkle leaf extract significantly affect the formation of the first leaf variables, plant height, leaf area, the longest roots, and the total weight of the wet plant. But did not significantly affect the variable number of roots, total plant dry weight, and the formation of the first flower. Soaking for 12 and 16 hours gives the best results compared to other treatments. Keywords: Catharanthus roseus, soaking time, the leaf extract of vinca
