Abstract Inventories in manufacturing companies strongly influence the course of the production process. There are a lot of method to determine inventories, such as EQQ (Economic Order Quantity), JIT (Just In Time) and Quality Discount. This research is focused on JIT (Just In Time) method which is applied to CV Faris Garment that is located in Sidoarjo, East Java. This company specifically play a role in convection sector. This research is aimed to find a comparison between JIT (Just In Time) method and Traditional method that is applied to CV Faris Garment. In this research, the researcher used qualitative data analysis because the research in the form of descriptive analysis. The source of data of this research are primary data and secondary data. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted a field study which is required an interviews and documentation. The technique of analysis was applied an equation inventory costs to calculate a total cost between Traditional method and JIT (Just In Time) method. The result of the analysis in this research show that the application of JIT (Just In Time) which is using the method of lot (Qn) in determine the optimal number of deliveries it has the lowest cost and the higher efficiency of cost than using conventional method which is used by the company.
