ABSTRAK Strategi Pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) sebagai penelitian untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep IPA pada siswa kelas III di SDN Pejagan 09 Bangkalan pada materi perubahan pada mahluk hidup. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Oktober 2014 - April 2015. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan pengaruh strategi pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA. Penelitian ini mengunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental desain dengan bentuk Nonequivalent control group desain dengan Pretest-Postet control group Desain dengan dua macam perlakuan yaitu kelas IIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui penelitian ini mengunakan tes objektif 15 soal dengan 4 pilihan jawaban dengan mengunakan validitas dalam penelitian adalah korelasi product moment. Koefisien reabilitas tes mengunakan rumus Spearman Brown. Untuk nilai postest menyatakan adanya pengaruh jika t (hitung) > t(tabel), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran kontekstual memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA untuk siswa pada kelas eksperimen. Dengan hasil perolehan angket respon minat siswa sebesar 44% siswa menyatakan baik dan 56% siswa menyatakan baik sekali, dengan ditunjukkan nilai t(hitung) 5,372 > t(tabel) 2,011 Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga kegiatan proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih bermakna. Kata kunci: Strategi Kontekstual (Contextual Teaching Learning), Pemahaman Konsep IPA.

ABSTRACT Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) strategy as a study to know the comprehension of mathematical and natural sciences concept of third grade students at SDN Pejagan 09 Bangkalan in the changing matter of living thing. The study is conducted in October 2014- April 2015. This study is an experimental quantitative research with the effect of contextual teaching learning strategy to the comprehension of mathematical and natural sciences concept. This study uses a design Quasi Eksperimental the of Nonequivalent control group design with Pretest-Postest control group design by using two kinds of treatment those are class of IIIA as class experiment and IIIB as class control. To know about that, this study uses an objective test of 15 questions with 4 choices of answer in which the validity of the study is product moment correlation. The coefficient of reability test uses Spearman Brown formula. The postest value shows that there is an effect if t(count)>t(table), so, it can be concluded that the contextual teaching learning strategy gives an effect to the comprehension of mathematical and natural sciences concept for the students in the class experiment. By the result of questionnaire of students’ interest for about 44% students state that it is good and 56% students state that it is very good, by showing the value of t(count) 5,372 > t(table) 2,011 Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
