ABSTRAK Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi pada siswa kelas V SDN Deket Wetan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar pada pembelajaran tema “lingkungan sahabat kita”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan model Quasi Experimental Design yang terdapat dua kelompok kelas. Kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model konvensional dan kelas eksperimen menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture. Pada pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas kedua sampel dinyatakan berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen. Pada uji linieritas data dinyatakan berpola linier, dengan nilai korelasi 0,618, serta uji signifkansi diperoleh thitung = 3,242 > ttabel = 2,110 dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa pada tema “lingkungan sahabat kita”. ABSTRACT The background of this study is the use of learning method which less varies at fifth grade students in SDN Deket Wetan. This study is attempted to describe the effect of learning model of picture and picture type to the learning result of students in the theme of “the environment is our friend”. This study is an experimental quantitative research with a model of Quasi Experimental Design which has two group classes. Control class uses conventional learning model and experiment class uses cooperative lerning model of picture and picture type. In normality and homogeneity tests, the two samples are stated as normal distributed and have homogeneous variants. In linearity test, the data are stated as linear patterned with correlation value of 0,618, and in significancy test is gained that ttest = 3,242 > ttable = 2,110 with significant level of 5%. It can be concluded that cooperative learning model of picture and picture type can give an effect to the learning result of students in the theme of “the environment is our friend”.
