Tradisi tellasan topa’ salah satu tradisi di Madura. Di pesisir Madura Pelaksanaannya sangat ramai, tradisi dilakukan sebagai bentuk sedekah laut bagi pemilik perahu. Mereka bersaing menghias perahu agar masyarakat tertarik. Perilaku kompetitif adalah saling mengatasi dan berjuang antara individu, atau antara beberapa kelompok untuk memperebutkan objek yang sama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku kompetitif pemilik perahu yang melaksanakan tradisi tellasan topa’ di Desa Tajungan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik penelitian ini yang digunakan dalam menentukan subjek penelitian teknik Snowball Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan wawancara semi terstruktur dan observasi non partisipan (gesture tubuh), serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilik perahu berusaha dengan caranya sendiri untuk mencapai tujuan yang sama, menjadi perahu yang terbaik. Cara yang dilakukan untuk mencapai keberhasilan yakni menambah jumlah makanan yang diminati, mengikuti kemauan masyarakat saat tradisi tellasan topa’, mempercantik hiasan perahu. Pemilik perahu bekerja sendiri dalam menghias perahu, selain itu pemilik perahu ketika mengalami kesulitan menghias perahu akan melakukan caranya sendiri untuk menyelesaikan kesulitannya. Menjadi perahu yang terbaik adalah tujuan dari setiap pemilik perahu di Desa Tajungan saat tradisi tellasan topa’, ketika menjadi yang terbaik pemilik perahu akan dipuji oleh masyarakat dan bangga serta di pelaksanaan tradisi selanjutnya akan antusiasme masyarakat semakin besar
