Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembangunan citra capoeira di Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira Surabaya. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik kualitatif deskriptif dan wawancara serta observasi sebagai langkah untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk menguji keabsahan data berupa informasi yang diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi berupa foto-foto. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa langkah strategi Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira dalam mengembangkan image untuk menarik minat masyarakat meliputi : jenis-jenis image dan urgensi image, proses pembentukan image, elemen image, faktor-faktor pembentukan image, public relations. Dimana dalam prosesnya komunikasi Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira image building lebih difokuskan dalam publik eksternal daripada pihak internal terbukti dari banyaknya kerjasama yang terjalin antara Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira dengan pihak luar atau masyarakat. This research is to know the development of capoeira image in Escola Budaya Zungu Capoeira Surabaya, in this research the researcher use descriptive qualitative technique and interview also as step to collect research data. The method will be used to process data in the form of information obtained from interviews, as well as information photographs. The results of this study indicate that the steps of Escola Culture Zungu Capoeira strategy in developing the image to draw include: types of images and images of urgency, the process of image formation, image elements, image organizers, public relations. Where in the process the communication of Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira builds a more externally studied image of the internal side as evidenced by the workplace between the Escola Cultural Zungu Capoeira and the outsider or community.
