This study is aimed to give further understanding about types of request and goals of request in Jack the Giant Slayer Movie. In this case, this study focuses on the analysis of the utterances uttered by the main characters. Pragmatic study especially theory of request strategy is used as the basic theory to analyze request strategy in Jack the Giant Slayer Movie. This study is qualitative research. The data are the utterances from the main characters. The data are collected after the writer watching the movie and making a note for the main data that related to the data problem. The method of analyzing data are divided into three processes, those are data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The result of the study are found 28 data into nine types of request and four goals of request. The result of this study are 6 data of mood derivable, 6 data of performative, 2 data of hedged performative, 3 data of obligation statement, 3 data of want statement, 2 data of suggestory formulae, 3 data of query preparatory, 2 data of strong hints, 1 data of mild hints, and 9 data of request for good, 7 data of request for initation, 4 data of request for the cessation, 8 data of request for joining activity.
