A., Ph.D This study focuses implicature that are found in Sherlock Holmes movie episode 1 A study in pink. This study aims to explain the types of implicature which are taken from Sherlock Holmes movie episode 1 A study in pink. It also to explain the meaning of impliature in the types. In addition to analyze the data uses two theories. Those are Yule (1996) and Grice (1975). This study is conducted by using a qualitative research because the data are in the form of words. The data of this study are taken from the text of conversations in Sherlock Holmes movie episode 1 A Study in Pink which contain implicature. The method of collecting data in this study is content analysis. To analyze the data, the writer uses interactive data analysis. In the findings, the writer found 35 data. The data can be classified into two types. Those are conversational implicature 13 data and 22 data belongs to conventional implicature. Conversational implicature is divided into three types, namely: particularized conversational implicature 9 data, scalar conversational implicature 4 data and generalized conversational implicature no data was found.
