Abstract: This study discusses the use of associative meaning in Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics. This study is aimed to explain the types of associative meaning in Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics and describe the frequently appeared type of associative meaning in Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative method. The data was taken from the seven Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics. The result of this study showed that there are five types of associative meaning in Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics and the frequently appeared type of associative meaning in Justin Bieber’s sadness song lyrics is collocative meaning.
