This study focuses on the associative meaning that found in Oscar Wilde’s poems. This study aims to explain the types of associative meaning that are found in Oscar Wilde’s poems and to explain what can be inferred of the dominant associative meaning found in the poems, towards the form of the poems. This study uses Leech theory (1981). This study is a qualitative research because the data are in the form of words. The data of this study are words in the poems which contain associative meaning. The method of collecting data in this study is conducted by using content analysis and the method of analyzing data is interactive data analysis. The writer finds 30 data. 6 data belongs to connotative meaning, 17 data belongs to social meaning, 5 data belongs to affective meaning, 1 data belongs to reflected meaning and 1 data belongs to collocative meaning.
