This study is concerned with gay language in Walmus Group focusing on word formation processes. This study is aimed to describe the word formation process of words in gay language and identify the most frequent appearance of word formation process in Walmus group. This study uses descriptive qualitative design. The source of data is the Walmus group, while the data is the words of gay language in Walmus Group. The technique used in collecting data is observation. The interactive model analysis is chosen as the technique of analyzing data. The result of this study are: (1) the word formation process in Walmus group are classified into two patterns, they are word formation processes and gay formation processes; (2) the types of word formation process found are word manufacture, borrowing, blending, abbreviations, and clipping, (3) gay word formation processes include changing vowel and consonant, insertion, adding, clipping and changing, and giving new meaning, (4) there are multiple processes found in the study which are the combination between two processes, and (5) the most word formation appeared in Walmus group is multiple processes especially in clipping and adding process.
