Analisis Sektor Unggulan dalam Permintaan Tenaga Kerja di Kabupaten Bangkalan Tahun 2008-2012 dibawah bimbingan Bondan Satriawan, S.E., M.Econ.St dan Andri Wijanarko, S.E., M.E. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sektor ekonomi yang menjadi sektor unggulan dalam permintaan tenaga kerja di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ada dalam penelitian ini, metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Location Quotient (LQ), analisis Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), dan analisis Overlay, sedangkan untuk melihat elastisitas tenaga kerja pada sektor unggulan digunakan analisis elastisitas tenaga kerja. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah diharapkan sektor ekonomi yang menjadi sektor unggulan untuk dikembangkan dalam permintaan tenaga kerja di Kabupaten Bangkalan adalah sektor pertanian. Elastisitas tenaga kerja pada sektor unggulan yaitu sektor pertanian diharapkan mengalami peningkatan pada tahun 2009-2012, sehingga dengan meningkatnya elastisitas tenaga kerja ini menunjukkan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang semakin meningkat dalam permintaan tenaga kerja Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dari analisis Location Quotient, analisis Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), dan analisis Overlay menunjukkan bahwa terdapat satu sektor ekonomi yang menjadi sektor unggulan yaitu sektor berdasarkan kriteria kontribusi dan kriteria pertumbuhan dilihat dari sisi nilai tambah dan tenaga kerjanya. Secara umum elastisitas tenaga kerja pada sektor pertanian dari tahun 2009-2012 dapat dikatakan cukup bagus sebesar 0.95 persen. Kata Kunci : Sektor Unggulan, Tenaga Kerja, Elastisitas Tenaga Kerja.
