Sebagai negara agraria Indonesia merupakan negara terbesar sebagai negara pengekspor kelapa sawit di dunia. Pada industri hulu kelapa sawit diolah menjadi 2 produk yaitu minyak kelapa sawit (Crude Palm Oil/CPO) dan inti sawit (Palm Mill). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses produksi CPO dan inti sawit dan nilai tambah dari kedua produk tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PKS Aek Torop, dengan populasi semua karyawan PKS Aek Torop dan sampelyang dipilih secara sengaja (Purposive sample). Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis nilai tambah Hayami. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses pengolahan kelapa sawit menjadi CPO dan inti sawit terdiri dari 7 stasiun yaitu stasiun jembatan penerimaan buah, perebusan, pemipilan, press, pemurnian minyak, pengolahan inti, dan pembangkit tenaga. Sedangkan hasil analisis nilai tambah Hayami menunjukan bahwa produksi CPO mampu memberikan nilai tambah sebesar Rp 485,79 dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp 447,69. Untuk pengolahan inti sawit perusahaan memperoleh nilai tambah yang negatif yaitu sebesar Rp 403,56 dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp -424,17. Hal ini terjadi karena inti sawit sendiri bukanlah produk yang akan dipasarkan ke konsumen namun akan dikirim ke PKS Sei Mangkei guna diolah kembali menjadi Palm Kernel Oil (PKO). As a country agrarian Indonesia is the largest country as a country which eksporter palm oil in the world. On pal oil upstream industry into two product, that is Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Mill. This reserch conducted to determine CPO production processes and pal mill and to the added value of either product. The study is done at PKS Aek Torop, with a population all employees in PKS Aek Torop adn the samplying singled out deliberately (purposive sample). Instrument analysis used is descriptive analysis adn analysis added value by Hayami. Research showed that management process coconut palm be CPO and palm mill cinsisting of 7 station namely station acceptance fruit, sterilizer, thressing, press purification og oil, processing nucleus, adn power plant. While based on analysis Hayami added value showed that CPO production can give added value of Rp 485,79 with a profit of Rp 447,69. For reprocessing pal mil company obtains added value is negative, is Rp 403,56 with a profit of Rp -424,17. This happens because the palm mill product is not to be marketed to the consumer but will be senta to PKS Sei Mangkei to tillable back into Palm Kernel Oil (PKO).
