Penelitian dilakukan di empat kecamatan yaitu, Kecamatan Talango, Kecamatan Sumenep Kota, Kecamatan Bluto, Kecamatan Pragaan Kabupaten Sumenep. Tujuan penelitian adalah deskripsi UMKM Batik di Kabupaten Sumenep dan mengetahui karakteristik MSDM pada UMKM Batik di Sumenep serta mengetahui strategi pengembangan MSDM UMKM di Kabupaten Sumenep. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus. Sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan wawancara mendeskripsikan karateristik MSDM dengan analisis cluster k-mens untuk mengetahui kelompok cluster MSDM dan strategi pengembangan MSDM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan status UMKM terdiri dari 3 UD, 1 CV, dan 8 usaha mikro sedangkan karakteristik MSDM UMKM terbagi 2 kelompok cluster. Kluster 1 terdiri dari 10 UMKM, kelompok 2 terdiri dari 3 UMKM, untuk strategi pada kelompok cluster 1 meningkatkan tatacara perekrutan sumber daya manusia, menganalisis pekerjaan sesuai kebutuhan UMKM, meningkatkan orientasi serta pelatihan dan pengembangan, dan melakukan penilaian kinerja karyawan, sedangkan kelompok 2 mengoptimalkan manajemen sumber daya manusia baik perekrutan sumber daya manusia, mengikuti serta memberikan pelatihan terhadap sumber daya manusia yang ada serta memberikan tunjangan bonus terhadap karyawan. AbstractionResearch conducted in four districts namely, in Talango, in Sumenep city, in Bluto, in Pragaan Sumenep district. Research purposes is description small businesses of Batik in Sumenep district and he knows characteristic management of human resources on small businesses of Batik Sumenep and he knows management of human resources on development strategy would Sumenep in the district. Method of the sample uses the census. While the method of analysis data using descriptive analysis and interview described characteristics management of human resources on from the analysis cluster k-mens to know the cluster management of human resources on and management of human resources on development strategy. The result showed small businesses consisting of 3 UD, 1 CV, and 8 for small businesses and characteristic management of human resources small businesses divided 2 group clusters. Cluster one consisting of 10 small businesses, the group cluster two of 3 small businesses, to strategy in the cluster one increase pace of human resources, analyzing would work as needed , improve and training and orientation and cluster two to optimize the use of human resource management both the recruitment, as well as provide training on human resources and provide the benefits of a bonus employees.
