    ABSTRACT Fadlillah. (09.05.1.1.1.00058). The male’s domination portrayed In Qaisra Shahraz’s The Holy Woman. THESIS. English Department of Faculty Social and Cultural Sciences, University of Trunojoyo. Advisors: (I) Rif’ah Inayati, S.S., M.A; (II) Diva Wenanda, S.S,.M.Pd. This study intends to analyze male’s domination and women’s responses toward male’s domination by using patriarchy system theory. The male’s domination is chosen to be analyzed based on patriarchy system. This study focuses on male’s action that exploits, discriminates, and oppresses women by using male’s domination. This study’s aim are male’s domination reflected in Qaisra Shahraz’s The Holy Woman and to determines responses of female’s characters towards the male’s domination in Qaisra Shahraz The Holy Woman. In addition, this is a qualitative study because (1) the analyzed and interpreted data are not manipulated. (2) The data are described and analyzed in the form of words, e.g. the utterances and explanations in the novel. (3) The key instrument s the writer. The results of the study shows Habib and Sirajadin apply patriarchy system based on male’s domination in their family. Their dominations are like determine their daughter future and holds their family matters depend on their wish. Furthermore, females’ responses, Shazada’s and Zari Bano towards Habib’s and Sirjadin’s domination are revelaed, although Shazada’s and Zari Bano’s responses give a strong negation toward Habib’s and Sirajdin’s domination, at the end, Shazada and Zari Bano have to follow to Habib’s order.
