ABSTRACT This study aims to explain the types of sarcasm found in the Pesbukers. This study also explains how sarcasm are functioned by comedians to make humor. This study uses Clark and Haiman’s theory to analyze the types and strategies of sarcasm in the comedy show. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The source of data is one episode of Pesbukers, consist of six parts videos. The data are the utterances of Indonesian comedian which are containing sarcasm. The main instrument is the writer herself in collecting, classifying, and analyzing the data. The method of collecting data is content analysis. The method of analyzing data is interactive model analysis. From the findings, this study shows that type of sarcasm which occurs in Pesbukers is biting and playful or bantering sarcasm. Besides, the strategies of sarcasm functioned by comedians to create humor are the use of language (labeled by sincere amusement, sincere pain, and sincere grief), I quote, ironic repetition of fresh talk, evidential, quotation of clichés, and marks of quotation (signals “like”, “or anything”, “give me a break” and repetition).
