    Abstraction

    Abstract: Outdoor advertisements contain hidden message because the advertiser use them to promote their product indirectly. This phenomenon forces the writer to analyze outdoor advertisement text. In this study, the writer intends to describe the types of implicature that are existed in the outdoor advertisement text and their implicit meaning based on Yule’s implicatures theory.The writer used descriptive qualitative approach. The source of data is the picture of outdoor advertisements, while the data is the text of outdoor advertisement slogans. The technique used in collecting data is observation method.This study found several findings: (1) There are 25 data were found by the writer. From 25 data, it found that there are two types of implicatures exist in outdoor advertisements text, they are 4 data as particularized conversational implicature and it also found 21 data contains conventional implicature, (2) All of 25 data were found contains of implicit meanings.
