Abstract: Since the poems entitled “London” and “The Chimney-Sweeper” by William Blake are unique and interesting to be discussed, this study is intended to describe the social condition in London as undesirable impacts of industrial revolution. Concerning with these matters, this study is concerned with portrait of Londoners as undesirable impacts of industrial revolution and undesirable impacts of industrial revolution in social sectors that is portrayed in“London” and “The Chimney-Sweeper”. To strengthen about it, this study used sociology of literature theory. After analysing problem and data of this study, it can be concluded that “London” and “The Chimney-Sweeper” portrays real life of Londoners as undesirable impacts of industrial revolution. Industrial Revolution gives impacts for several aspects of Londoners at that time, especially in social aspect, such as; child labor, crime, prostitution, and social class.
