The research was conducted in the Wakaf village, Telang, Kamal District. The purpose is to determine the meaning of the symbols contained in jhêng mantoh traditional procession in the Wakaf village by using semiotic analysis of Charles Sanders Pierce. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The techniques of collecting data in this study were through observation, in-depth interview, documentation, and also library study. The informants were selected to be the sample by using a snowball sampling collection technique. As for the validity of this study used the triangulation of data sources and methods so that the data obtained are valid. The results of this study indicate that jhêng mantoh traditional procession in the Endowments village apparently implies the values of life and spiritual. This can be reflected in the common and special symbols which were used at the time either in the jhêng mantoh procession tradition or in the wedding ceremony itself. For example, the existence of the procession in the jhêng mantoh tradition as a form of support from the relatives for the bride and groom, the existence the tradition of tèk-tèk-tèk in jhêng mantoh tradition as a symbol to bring good fortune, the use of a the goat's head symbol represents safety, and so forth. The meaning of those symbols could not be separated by the various arguments from the people as the doer of the tradition. However, consciously or not, the people in Bangkalan especially in Wakaf village do not understand the meaning of the symbol.
