All I Gotta Do by Nikki Giovanni was concerned of social life that are about slavery and racism on Black Women. This study is intended to discuss the discrimination which has happened in America. The poems reflect the social condition of American especially Black Women in 1975th.The aims of this study are to answer: (1) What are the meaning of poem“All I Gotta Do”?; (2) How are the effect of discrimination on Black Women in America based on mimetic criticism?; (3) How the attitude of black women in discrimination era based on mimetic criticism? Mimetic criticism theory that focuses on analyze social condition of American in 1975 reflected in Nikki Giovanni’s poem “All I Gotta Do”. The lines of this poem that reflect to the social condition are as the data in this study. In line with the features of qualitative research, the data collection is done simultaneously with the data analysis. To analyze this data, the writer using the theory Mimetic criticism. From the study, it can be concluded that this poem describe about American social condition in 1975th. Discrimination still continue toward Black American, especially Black Women in America. The poem of Nikki Giovanni tellsabout how cruelty the racism and slavery era. She write all about the black women pains in her poem.
