The study is concerned with figurative expression in the selected song lyrics of Adele. The objectives are (1) to find out the kinds of the figurative expression those are found on the selected song lyrics of Adele (2) to describe of the kind of the meaning those are found in the selected song lyrics of Adele and (3) to find out kind of the most figurative expression that found in the lyrics. This study is used content analysis to collect the data, and used interactive model to classify an draw the conclussion based on data analysis. The data were taken from the types of figurative expression. There were 34 data that used in this study. Through this study, there are 10 data of personification (27,02%), 18 data of hyperbole (48,64%), 4 data of synechdoce (10,81%), 3 data of simile (8,10), and 2 data metaphore (5,40%). Beside, hyperbole is the most used in the song lyrics of Adel rather than personification, synechdoce, simile,and metaphore.
